About us

We are a busy country inn located near to Slimbridge WWT and the Gloucester-Sharpness Canal.

**Overview:**

We are seeking a dedicated Front of House Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the hospitality industry and possess excellent leadership skills to ensure exceptional customer service.

***Duties:**

- Oversee daily operations of the front of house staff

- Train and supervise front of house employees

- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service

- Manage reservations and seating arrangements

- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery

- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area

- Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner

**Experience:**

- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry

- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures

- Familiarity with kitchen operations and food preparation

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

- Bartending or culinary experience is a plus

Job description - Breakfast Supervisor

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Breakfast Supervisor to oversee our breakfast service for both resident and non resident guests. This role is essential in ensuring that guests receive a high-quality experience each morning. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a solid understanding of food safety and production processes. As the Breakfast Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising staff and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The successful candidate will be required to start at 7am Monday-Friday and 7:30 Weekends and Bank Holidays. Finish time will usually be Midday. Some occasional holiday and sickness cover will be expected.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the breakfast shift to ensure efficient and high standards of service.

• Manage inventory levels for breakfast supplies and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.

• Create and maintain a positive dining environment that encourages guest satisfaction.

• Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to enhance their experience.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.

• Assist guests with any invoice queries and amend invoices accordingly

Requirements

• Proven experience in a hospitality or restaurant management role, preferably within breakfast or brunch services.

• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and culinary practices.

• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

• Bartending experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.

• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and staff alike.
