Thank you for your patience whilst we have been closed and your many messages of support
Due to Covid-19 and updated guidance from Public Health England and Environmental Health we have made several adjustments in how we will be operating going forward. This is to ensure the safety and well being of our staff and guests. A copy of our Covid-19 risk assessment can be viewed here.
From Monday 19th August 2021 we are continuing to operate as we have been since we reopened in April.
We are still not using all of our tables and are continuing with social distancing inside. Staff will continue to wear a face mask and we respectfully ask that our customers also wear a mask whilst not seated at a table inside (unless exempt). Booking a table inside is highly recommended due to table distancing, tables outside can not be booked and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We are offering meals to eat inside or outside, and also available to take away.
Due to Covid-19 guidelines, we are required to keep doors and windows open for airflow, so please bring an extra layer. We cannot wait to welcome you back.
Welcome to The Tudor Arms… a large, family-operated Free House, situated beside the Gloucester-Sharpness Canal, and just ½ mile from the world famous Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust…
The building dates from the 18th century, and was a licensed beer and cider house for the Irish Navigator Soldiers who dug the Canal by hand. Today it is a fully licensed premises with two bars offering a range of cask ales and keg ales, stouts, lagers and ciders.
We offer high quality Bed and Breakfast accommodation in the Tudor Arms Lodge, adjacent to the pub.

All our bedrooms have an en suite bathroom with shower, complimentary toiletries, hairdryer, telephone, radio alarm, remote control TV, FREE WiFi and tea & coffee making facilities.
Meals are served throughout the day at the Tudor Arms, or you can just relax in one of the bars.
Whether you’re planning a short or longer stay, there are plenty of places of interest for all ages in the area – see our Activities page for some suggestions.
